NSP Renewal 2022-23

The National Scholarship Portal was created in order to provide proper information related to the various scholarship programs which are available by the Indian Government. The applicant can even apply for a renewal of their scholarship by visiting the official NSP Portal and they will be able to fill out the renewal application. The scholarship opportunity is available for all Indian students or even for overseas students who are not able to continue their education due to the lack of monetary funds. Important Dates

• The last date to apply for both fresh and renewal is the same. For the academic year 2021-22, the application deadline for centrally-funded pre-matric schemes is 15th November 2021.
• For centrally-funded post-matric, merit-cum-means, and top-class scholarships, the deadline is 30th November 2021.
• Furthermore, for other scholarships, the deadline falls in the month of January, February and March.

Documents Required

The applicant must submit the following documents to apply for the national scholarship scheme:-

• Verification Form provided by the educational institution
• Student’s Photograph
• Self-Certified Community Certificate from the applicant attaining 18 years of age/others
• Community Certificate certified by parent/guardian
• Income Certificate issued by the competent authority in the State/UT Government
• Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year’
• For Scholarships under the MCM-based Scheme, students have to upload a self-attested mark sheet, indicating 50% marks and above in the last qualifying exam at higher secondary/graduation level
• Residential/Domicile Certificate
• Student’s bank account number with the IFSC Code of the bank branch (regarding Pre-Matric Scheme, bank account number with the IFSC code of the parents/guardians
• Bonafide Student Certificate from School/Institute, if located in a State/UT different from domicile State/UT
• Student’s Aadhaar card number or bonafide student certificate from the school/institute, and scanned copies of Aadhaar enrolment ID (if applied for Aadhaar) and bank passbook

NSP Renewal 2022-23 Application Procedure

To apply for the scholarship we will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• The candidates will first have to visit the official website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here
• The home page will open on your screen.
• You have to click on the option called New Registration
• The instructions will open on your screen.
• Tick mark the declaration.
• You have to click on the option called the “Continue” option.
• Enter all of the details.
• Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
• Then enter the captcha code
• Click the “Register” option.
• Now you have to log in using your credentials.
• You have to click on the option called Application Form
• The application form will be displayed on the screen
• Enter details including the State of Domicile, Name of the student, Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID, etc.
• You have to click on the option called “Save & Continue”
• Upload the documents.
• You have to click on the option called “Final Submission’’
• The application form will be successfully submitted.

Search Institute/School/ITI

If you want to search the institution or school then you need to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• The candidates will first have to visit the official website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here
• The home page will open on your screen.
• You have to click on the option called new registration
• A new page will open on your screen.
• Now You have to click on the option called “Search for Institute/ School/ ITI”
• Enter the details including Institution State, Institution District, Institute /College/ITI and School/College/ITI Name(Optional)
• You have to click on the option called to submit.
• The list will open on your screen.

Terms And Conditions

The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to be eligible to apply for the national scholarship portal:-

• Make sure you keep your application ID (of fresh application) intact with you as it will be required at the time of renewal.
• In case you forget your application ID, you can retrieve it using the ‘Forgot Application id?’ button on the login page. You will be required to enter the bank account number that you entered at the time of registration to retrieve the application ID.
• In case you forget the password of your previous year’s registration, you can retrieve it by using the ‘Recover Password?’ button on the login page.
• Furthermore, if you wish to update the mobile number already registered, you can click do so using the ‘Update Mobile Number?’ button on the login page. Please note, that you will be allowed to update your mobile number only once.
• You will be required to provide certain details to update your mobile number. Once you update your mobile number, you cannot change it again.
• The students who are eligible for renewal need not apply under the fresh category as it will lead to duplicate applications, which will be rejected.
• Furthermore, if a student wants to apply for a fresh scholarship, he/she must withdraw his/her renewal application to avoid rejection.
• In case, your course is completed for which the scholarship is being disbursed, you cannot apply for its renewal.
