How to apply for a scholarship through NSP?
If your current educational institution is listed on the portal, then only you are eligible to apply for NSP. You can contact your institution to start the registration process if it is not already.
The steps required to apply for NSP are given below:
- Visit the official website of NSP https://nsp.gov.in/.
- Click on the “New Registration” button on the top navigation tab
- read the directions carefully
- Tick the boxes at the bottom of the page to show that you have read and agree to the guidelines
- Click “Continue”
- Fill Required Details
- Click on “Register”
- A Student Application ID and Password will be sent to your Registered Mobile Number

How to Login into NSP Portal?
Once you have completed the registration process as mentioned above, you can start the log-in process with the steps given below:
- Click on the login button on the website of NSP
- Enter the Application ID and Password which were sent to your registered mobile number
- Click on “Application Form”
- Fill in all the required details
- Click on the “Save and Continue” button
- Now add scheme details and your contact details
- Upload Required Documents
- First click on ”Save as Draft” to verify and check all the details

Application for Scholarship through Mobile App
Visit Google Play Store to download NSP mobile application and submit a scholarship application. It can also be accessed through the UMANG mobile app of the Government of India. So you just need to register for the scholarship and submit an application at this point.

अगर आप NSP Scholarship आवेदन करते है तो आपको बहुत सरे डाक्यूमेंट्स को अपलोड करना होता है पर अगर आपका Tuition fee Rs.50,000 से कम हैं और आपको 50,000 से कम पैसा मिलेगा स्कालरशिप में तो आपको कोई Documents अपलोड करने की जरुरत नहीं हैं ये NSP का Rule हैं पर बहुत ऐसे School/ College हैं जहाँ पर आपको सभी Documents Upload करने बोलते हैं, नहीं तो आपका Form School/ College से Verify नहीं करते हैं, तो जब आप स्कालरशिप को आवेदन करेंगे वही पर Last में जब Scheme Select करेंगे उसके बाद Documents Upload का Option आएगा तब आप सभी Documents को अपलोड कर देंगे

An income Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the State/UT Government is required (Mandatory).
Is a bona fide certificate necessary for NSP?
The student needs to provide a genuine certificate in the prescribed proforma if the student’s domicile state is different from the state of the institution/school he/she is studying.
What is the minimum income for NSP?
Yes, only those candidates whose annual family income is less than or equal to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum is covered under the scheme.
