How to register in NSP

To register in NSP Portal we are giving here the steps by which students can easily register themselves.

The NSP registration process is as follows:

  • Visit the official website of NSP i.e. Scholarships.gov.in. A home page appears as shown below.
  • If you are a new user then click on New Registration.
  • If you are already registered then click on the “Login” button and select “Fresh 2023-23”.
  • And if you do not have login details then click on “New Registration Icon”. A page appears as shown below. “New User? Register”
  • Read the Guidelines for Registration on NSP and click on the Continue button which is given at the end of the page.
  • Then a page appears as shown below under which students have to fill in the details like “Student Name”, “DOB” etc and click on “Register”.
  • On clicking the register button a unique application number is provided to your registered mobile phone number.
  • A message of successful registration appears. A student application ID is given under that message. This ID will also be made available through SMS to the registered mobile number.
  • After successfully getting the ID click on “Login to Apply” and fill in the details like “Application ID”, “Password” and “Recaptcha”.
  • After successful registration, the candidate is forced to change the password (if they have registered for the first time). Once the student has changed the password, they will be directed to the “Applicant’s Dashboard Page”.
  • Click on “Application Form” The application form is divided into 3 parts i.e. “Registration Details”, “Academic Details”, and “Basic Details”.
  • After that click on “Save & Continue” and fill in the contact details and scheme details.
  • If you are not clear about any details then click on save a draft to re-accept that window otherwise clicks on “FINAL SUBMIT”.
  • Then after the final submission, you will not be able to edit the form again.

How to apply in a particular scheme

Here we are telling about the steps by which one can apply for this scheme. The NSP application process is as follows:

  • Visit the official site of the National Scholarship Portal e. scholarship.gov.in.
  • Select the type of scheme you want to apply for i.e. “Central” or “State Scheme”.
  • And after selecting the scheme, select the department or ministry under which you are interested.
  • So after selecting the link various scholarship link is provided such as Pre, Post, Merit cum Means Scholarship.
  • Then click on the apply button given in the same row.
  • A window appears as National Scholarship Portal, under which the candidate is required to fill the Application ID, Password and Recaptcha.
  • After that click on the “Login” button

NSP Portal 2022-23 – Documents Required

The documents required for each NSP scholarship may differ. However, some important documents that you must keep with you for a successful application include –

  • Educational documents
  • Aadhar card

These documents need to be uploaded only for the scholarship amount above INR 50,000. So for scholarship amount less than Rs 50,000, students are required to submit these documents to their respective school/institute/college.

1-Students of classes 1 to 10 must have at least 50% marks in the previous examinations. And family income should be less than 1 lakh. So students must belong to minority communities such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis.
