NSP Full Form 2022: The full form of NSP is National Scholarship Portal and it is a one-stop solution through which various services are facilitated starting from student application, application receipt, verification, processing, and disbursement of various scholarships to the students. And National Scholarship Portal has been taken up as a Mission Mode Project (MMP) under Digital India. Also, the objective of this initiative is to provide a simplified, mission-oriented, accountable, responsive, and transparent ‘smart’ system for faster and effective disbursement of scholarships directly into the account of eligible applicants without any leakages through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility Criteria for NSP Scholarship 2022-23
Pre-Matric Scholarship NSP
- Eligibility- The scholarship will be awarded to those students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination and the annual income of their parent/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1.00 lac.
- Scope- Then the scholarship will be awarded for studying in class I to class X in a government or private school in India.
- Then the scholarship will be given to the students of minority communities studying in classes 1 to 10.

NSP Post Matric Scholarship
- Eligibility- The scholarship will be awarded to those students who have obtained not less than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination and whose parents/guardians’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 Lakhs.
- Scope- Then the scholarship is to be awarded for study in any government or private higher secondary school/college/university in India. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) affiliated Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers of class XI and XII including polytechnic and other courses.
- Then the scholarship will be awarded to students studying in class XI and XII, including technical and professional courses of this level, including polytechnics, ITIs, and other courses.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS
- Eligibility- The scholarship will be awarded to those students who have obtained not less than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination and whose parents/guardians’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.50 lakhs.
- Scope- The scholarship is to be awarded for study in India in a government or private institution selected and notified in a transparent manner by the concerned State Government/Union Territory Administration. It will include technical and vocational courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The list of courses is in Appendix E.
- Also, those students who take admitted to the college for taking admission in technical/professional courses on the basis of a competitive examination will be eligible for the scholarship.

NSP Scholarship – Application Process
If you find yourself eligible for any of the scholarships listed on NSP, you must make sure that you apply for them within the stipulated time frame. So the application process for all the scholarships is simple as there is a single application window for all the scholarships. To start the application process, students are primarily required to register on the portal. Thereafter, they can proceed to fill out the application form by logging into the user dashboard. Follow the steps given below to apply successfully –
- Go to the official website of NSP (National Scholarship Portal).
- Before registering, ensure that your institute is registered on the portal by clicking on the ‘Search for Institute’ button.
- So if your organization is not registered, please ask your organization to register on the portal first.
- Then click on the ‘New Registration’ button.
- Read all the registration guidelines carefully and click on ‘Continue’ to proceed further.
- Then fill in all the mandatory fields marked with an asterisk ‘*’, and click on the ‘Register’ button.
- On successful registration, an Application ID and Password sent to your registered mobile number.
- Login using the Application ID and Password received.
- Also, you need to verify the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. After which you need to change your password at your convenience.
- After changing the password a user dashboard will open. Click on ‘Application Form’ to start filling out the application.
