NSP Minority Scholarship 2022-23: Minority Scholarships are available for the economically weaker section of the minority community. This scholarship program has been created by the Organization for the Welfare of Minorities under the Ministry of Welfare, Government of India. The main objective of these scholarships is to provide special treatment to those students who are not able to raise funds for their education because they belong to a minority community and they are going through poverty all the time.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Minority Scholarship the applicant must possess the following eligibility criteria:-
- The student must be attending school/college/university to participate in the scheme.
- And the annual income of the parents of that child should not exceed Rs 100000 to Rs 200000.
- He/she must belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
- Applicants must be meritorious students to participate in Minority Scholarship Scheme.
- The objective of this scheme is to encourage girl students from minority communities to education.
- And the applicants participating in this scheme are students up to the 10th standard.
- In this, students studying in government and non-government educational institutions have secured more than 50 percent marks last year.
- Those whose father’s annual income is not more than one lakh are eligible for Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme.
- Such students can take advantage of this scheme by receiving applications through the committee.
- The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is offered to students from class XI to PhD.
- Only the students who have secured more than 50% marks in the previous year can get their name.

Minority Scholarship Rewards Details
The following rewards will be provided to the candidates in this minority scholarship:-
Pre-Matric Scholarships

Post Matric Scholarship

Tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of class 11 and 12 levels: INR 10,000 per annum for both hostellers and day scholars. Admission and tuition fee for UG and PG level is INR 3000 for both hosteller and day scholar. |

Merit-cum-means Scholarship

Renewal Process
Candidates can renew their scholarship by following the following renewal procedure:-
- The candidates are required to renew the scholarship awarded every year.
- To renew the scholarship, the students must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the previous year’s examination.
- For renewal cases, the officials do not release the merit list.
Terms and conditions
To apply for the scholarship the applicant must comply with the following terms and conditions:-
- Candidates who fulfill the eligibility can apply for any one of the three Minority Scholarships only.
- Students availing of this scholarship cannot take any other scholarship along with it.
- The officials will transfer the course/tuition fee and maintenance allowance to the bank account of the candidate.
- In case of getting through the wrong details, the officials will cancel the scholarship.
- The scholarship is liable to be canceled in case the student violates school discipline or any other terms and conditions of the scholarship.
- The authorities will not provide scholarships to more than two students from a family.
- Maintenance allowance will be available for both daily scholars and hostelers.
- The continuation of the scholarship will depend on the score of the candidates.
Selection Criteria (चयन मानदंड)
